1. select camera sensor size
2. enter object width or height
3. enter lens focal length
4. click “Calculate Obj Dist” button

— Object size (FOV):

1. select camera sensor size
2. enter object distance
3. enter lens focal length
4. click “Calculate Obj Size” button

— Lens focal length:

1. select camera sensor size
2. enter object distance
3. enter object width or height
4. click “Calculate focal length” button

Having established the focal length it is then important to consider other aspects of the lens ‘specification’ such as minimum working distance, resolution and resolving power.
